About UCSI AniMaC Club


The UCSI University AniMaC Club was established to create an environment where fans gather together in the university to build a fun and learning experience. The main purpose of forming this club is :

1. To gather all the Anime/Manga fans together.
2. To Introduce Japanese culture and traditions.
3. To display your creativity and abilities about Japanese animation, drawings,  and etc when a competition is held.

Where the inspiration came from?

The idea of forming the AniMaC club was bought to UCSI since year 2006. During that time, there is not enough members and supporters to form a fully functioned institution. The Dream of creating this club was then postponed.

The club was successfully established on June 15th, year 2007. The name of the club was named UCSI Anime and Manga Club and was later changed to AniMaC on March 27th, 2008.

The "AniMaC" word stands for "Ani"me and "Ma"nga "C"lub. The "C" is also used to represent Collections of Anime and Manga fans. The "C" was also used as the word "Cosplay" as one of the official events.

The Forum's establishment

The AniMaC Discussion Board (Forum) was established on March 12th, 2008 by house88kend and the purpose of this discussion board was to create awareness as well as to promote the AniMaC club.Discussion and announcements can be made through the forum.

The Official AniMaC's Event Blog establishment

The Official Blog for AniMaC was created on 1st of June, 2008. Literally, this blog is where we posts our AniMaC events journal or stories of how the event being held by inserting our clubs daily Diary and photos,this blog also received testimonials for events that is related to cosplay, games, anime, manga etc.

Events held/participated by AniMaC

So far AniMaC had held various activities after its establishment, some were visiting any major cosplay events or ACGC events throughout Kuala Lumpur, recently we also visited Bon Odori. We also held charity by selling more than 100 homemade bookmarks esclusively drawn by our members during Clubs week at UCSI and we also do weekly Anime Screening which we aired some of the famous Anime voted by most members!

The Committee Special Board of AniMaC

The BOD or Board Of Directors is a group of representative to help the club on their daily tasks. B.O.D can be consists of Sub-members from the main committee members.
